January and February's Mission Project has been announced during the Sunday service. In honor of Irene Koch who is a member of your Mission Team and currently in Tidewell Hospice, has asked us to support this organization. Please make your check to the Church and write on the memo line "Tidewell Hospice '' whether dropping it in the collection plate or mailing your check to the office. I've spoken to Irene who is very grateful for fulfilling her request and said to tell you thank you very much. P.S. Irene has her good days and her bad days. Please continue your prayers for her.
** Don't forget that Souper Bowl Sunday is coming up on February 7th! The three bowls will again be placed on the table in the back of the Sanctuary during that Sunday's service, marked with the two playing teams (to be announced) and "I don't care" for those who really don't care who wins, but want to still donate. As in past years, we have split the collections evenly and given to Our Daily Bread and the Manatee Food Bank, both of which feed our hungry population in our own neighborhood and the purpose of this event. Once the two Super Bowl teams have been determined, for those of you who are not attending Sunday service, please mail in your check payable to the church, writing the team's name on the memo line or "I don't care". As done before, we will announce the total for each bowl and the total amount collected. This in turn will feed many hungry people.
I have to also mention; don't forget to bring in your non-perishable food items for the Manatee Food Bank barrel. There is also a list of specific items needed posted on the Narthex board for the homebound seniors that receive Meals on Wheels. Oh yes, don't forget to stop by the Penny Fund basket and drop in your loose change or dollar bills. We are starting fresh for this new year, as all funds were used up. (Look for my separate email to come with that list of accomplishments in 2020 only because of you.) Thank you all so very much for your continued support of your Mission Team's projects. As a whole, we can still call ourselves the "The Small but Mighty Church" because of your generous hearts and God's Blessings bestowed upon us in so many ways as a Church family. There will be more added to this soon.
Thanks so much Julie!
We couldn't have done it without you!

Jesus said: I have not come to be served but to serve. As Christians we are called to serve others. We are called to love our Neighbor at least as well as we love ourselves. Outside the walls of the Sanctuary there are precious people in need: families struggling to make ends meet, homeless individuals and families, children who go to bed hungry, elders lonely and isolated. Here is where faith meets the world. Here, as much as on Sunday morning in Worship, is "Church."
Braden River has partnered with the Organizations listed below (all Links open in a New Tab) to address some of these needs, both here and abroad. In doing so, not only do we alleviate suffering of others, we meet our Faith, our Fears, our Deepest Desires to be like Jesus. It's in the doing that belief comes alive and grow
